Abstract

In order to control BVD in cattle, the key component is finding and eliminating persistently infected (Pl) individuals from the herd. Many of the testing methods available are cost-prohibitive to most producers for whole-herd screening. In order to address this, the diagnostic reliability of pooled antigen-capture enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ACE) was explored as a cost effective alternative.
