Abstract
The AABP again sponsored a "Bovine Give-Away" in the form of ten $50.00 U.S. Bonds. The drawing was made by AABP President, Dr. Neil Anderson and the event was organized by Dr. Samuel Hutchins 3rd, Exhibits Manager in collaboration with the exhibitors.
Dr. Darrel E. Johnson, Weyauwega, Wisconsin, was named the 1986 Outstanding Bovine Practitioner of the Year at the annual business luncheon on November 21.
AABP awards for excellence in preventive veterinary medicine, sponsored by MSD-AGVET division of Merck & Co., Inc., were announced during the annual business meeting on Friday, November 21.
Dr. Timothy Jordan, Palo Duro Veterinary Service, Canyon, Texas received the 1986 Beef Porgram Award.
The American Association of Bovine Practitioners has established the AABP Amstutz-Williams Award on the recommendation of the Forward Planning Committee. The first recipients of this award also have the honor of having the award named after them. It iswith great honor that we present the AABP Distinguished Service A ward from now on known as the AABP Amstutz-Williams Award to Drs. Harold E. Amstutz and Eric I. Williams.
