Abstract

The paper dscusses Preconditioning (PC),  which is a management system designed to immunize calves and reduce stressors prior to shipment to a stocker or feeder operation, as well as preweaning (PW), which refers to calves which are weaned and fed as in preconditioning but vaccination and treatments for parasitism are not done.
