Abstract

This document discusses packaging and shipping veterinary diagnostic specimens (fresh tissues, fixed tissues, bacteriology specimens and cultures), US Department of Transportation packaging and shipping safety, and package labeling requirements for both standard “biological” samples and for samples shipped in dry ice. Additionally, examples of the required symbols are noted in the document examples.
