Utilizing herd production records to make decisions can be very helpful when dealing with herd health issues. Records are also valuable when examining herd goals as they are an objective source of information that can uncover areas of opportunity.

Another valuable tool is the ability to benchmark a herd’s re­cords against their herd goals and/or to benchmark production data vs. other similar herds.
