An important role of the dairy consultant is to increase the profitability of their clients. Current and comprehensive production, nutrition, and financial records that can be analyzed daily are essential to track the effect of management changes on production and profitability. This paper uses a case study to describe the effect of changes in ration formulation and feed particle size on feed intake, feed costs, milk production, and profitability.
