Abstract

Among the many respiratory afflictions found in feedlot cattle is a syndrome which has come to be referred to as the “honker.” The affected animal exhibits a dyspnea characterized by a loud, gutteral sound on inspiration which is much deeper in tone than that exhibited by an animal with diptheria.
