Abstract

The changes in the procedure include the instillation of mineral oil directly into the abomasum and the fixation of the abomasum to the ventral body wall. The fixation sutures are left in place for at least two weeks when they are cut at both emerging points but are not pulled out for fear of damaging the abomasal wall.
