Abstract

It is fair to say that the use of Rumensin or Bovatec would probably rank as one of the five greatest or most powerful tools for improving the efficiency o f beef production to come along in the past 35-40 years. Other experimental ionophores being researched at the present time include Narasin, Salinomycin and Polyether A, among others. Hopefully, at least one or more of these may also be cleared in the near future.
