Abstract

Blood samples were taken from 40 free-roaming pregnant cows before, during and after low altitude overflights of different types of jet and helicopter aircraft, using a device that can take and store samples by remote radio control. Laboratory analysis revealed that increases of blood plasma corticosteroid levels were dependent on both the type of aircraft and the individual animal.
