Abstract

The purpose of this paper was to evaluate the incidence of abomasal displacements in a large number of female dairy calves as weII as to determine their characteristics with regard to abdominal position, the efficacy of the diagnostic methods employed, the concurrent diseases present and the electrolyte and acid-base alterations occurring in these animals.
