Abstract

Following percutaneous correction of abomasal displacement in 100 cattle, 88 recovered. In 2 cases the suture pulled out and the animals had to be treated by laparotomy. Six died. One death was directly related to the technique. 71 cattle had concurrent diseases, the commonest being endometritis (25) and ketosis (44).
