Abstract

After diagnosis of pneumonia, 5619 cattle were given an antibiotic intratracheally. The results were compared with 1025 cattle given antibiotic intravenously, intramuscularly and subcutaneously. 93% of intratracheally treated cattle completely recovered and 2% died; 82% of cattle treated by the other routes completely recovered and 6% died.
