Abstract

The antibiotic sensitivity of non-specific strains of E. coli isolated from calves with diarrhoea was tested with 25 drugs. Only the nitrofurans, gentamicin, chloramphenicol, trimethroprim sulphadiazine and polymixin B were effective in vitro against E. coli more than 63% of the time.
