Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explain why the Doornink family of Baldwin, WI, who own a nationally recognized registered Holstein herd of 90 cows averaging 25,000m 900f 780p with a BAA of 106, decided to borrow about $1,000,000 to build a modern, highly efficient 300 cow free stall barn, milking parlor, and feed storage center.
