Clinical experiences with abomasal displacements in calves up to 6 months of age are reported on the basis of an evaluation of 34 cases of uncomplicated left-sided displacement of the abomasum, 26 cases of abomasal tympany with displacement on the right side of the abdomen, and 24 abomasal torsions, observed in 1990/91/92. Relevant clinical findings as well as the methods and results of treatment are described. Final remarks include ideas on the possible pathogenesis of each of the three abomasal diseases.Downloads
