Abstract

Of 295 cases of pulmonary disease in adult cattle investigated in the Veterinary School, Glasgow, UK, during 1969-75, 23 were identified as parasitic bronchitis due to Dictyocaulus viviparus. The clinical signs and pathology of the 5 cases of patent infection and 18 cases of reinfection syndrome are briefly described. The differential diagnosis of parasitic bronchitis is also considered.
